The Nederlandsche Elektrische Lakfabriek (N.E.L.F.) was founded in 1916 and was one of the first paint manufacturers in the Netherlands to use electricity in paint production. Nelf soon began developing special coatings and protective products for the nautical sector. Successfully, the shipping division grew into a favourite brand in the Netherlands and beyond. Since 2008, all nautical expertise has been brought together under Nelf Marine Paints to serve this international market in the best possible way.
